Candy Crush Saga is simple to play and even simpler to become hooked to; if you allow it, it could easily eat up all of your free time (and money). Simply swiping two candies will flip their places, and the feedback is so meticulously calibrated that even someone who has never used a smartphone before is likely to understand it in a matter of seconds. You have a certain number of movements to rack up as many points as you can.

Similar to the game, the music is entertaining at first but eventually grows grating. The music swoops at you until it's difficult to absorb it—it's loud and grandiose. It's very beautiful, almost to the point of being overdone, considering that only the prettiest instruments are used. A well-made casual game, Candy Crush Saga does an excellent job at keeping your thumb moving around the screen. Although it's not nearly as cynical as I had anticipated, there is little room for strategy as the game veers erratically between being ridiculously simple and brutally difficult.
